Base Salary Range:
$57,449 - $76,980
Bonus:
Annual bonuses; 20.7% of eligible earnings
Basic Job Functions
Design & Estimating: Create accurate, thorough, and competitive pre‑sale designs and estimates for building systems.
Customer Communication: Provide clear verbal and written communication with customers and teammates.
Proposal Development: Receive and clarify quote requests, ensuring all project details are incorporated.
Customer Service & Division Goals: Support American Buildings service practices, customer needs, and division objectives.
Code & Product Knowledge: Apply knowledge of current building codes to design building elements and maintain understanding of AB‑IL products.
Drawing Interpretation: Review and interpret project drawings to ensure accuracy and alignment.
Value Engineering: Assist customers in identifying value engineering opportunities.
Time & Quality Management: Deliver high‑quality work in a fast‑paced environment while meeting deadlines.
Travel: Travel as necessary to support customers and project requirements.
Safety: Initiate and uphold safety policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
2+ years of Pre‑Engineered Metal Building experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, Architecture, or related field.
Ability to read, understand, and comprehend Architectural, Structural, and Mechanical project drawings.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Access, and 2‑dimensional drawing software.
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of Pre‑Engineered Metal Building Design, Detailing, or Estimating experience.
Working knowledge of pre‑engineered metal building systems.
Functional knowledge of EQuote, NBG Design Tools, Access, Tekla, or ProgeCAD.
College Degree in Construction related field.
