Job Summary Provide a high‑touch approach to developing customer relationships. Offer a full range of banking services for individual customers and commercial clients, and provide general internal support. The position is responsible for greeting customers, handling new account services, and cross‑selling bank products and services. Address more complex customer needs with ease and confidence, and communicate effectively with current and prospective customers, providing exceptional customer service at all times. Project a professional image for TrustBank that encourages the DuPage community to choose TrustBank.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service, ensuring prompt and courteous service.
Open new accounts and cross‑sell products to meet customers’ needs.
Assist customers in meeting all account‑related needs.
Represent TrustBank at community functions and in your network to generate new relationships.
Answer phone inquiries and provide support to relationship officers.
Remain flexible to scheduling needs during all Wheaton location business hours (M‑F 8 AM‑6 PM).
Open and close the bank when needed and assist with monthly reports.
Stay within compliance guidelines when opening and closing all accounts.
Attend bank meetings and educational seminars as required.
Perform teller functions as needed (approximately 5 % of the role).
Support ancillary deposit operations across the bank at‑large as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions The position is a part‑time role, working 20–25 hours per week. The schedule may vary to support the operating hours of the bank Monday–Friday, 8 AM–6 PM. The role includes occasional attendance at banking functions and networking events outside of regular business hours.
Compensation and Benefits Pay range is $24.00–$29.00 per hour. TrustBank provides a generous benefits offering; details may be found on our website.
Required Education and Experience
High school education and ability to master on‑the‑job training requirements. Associate’s degree or higher is a plus.
A minimum of two years banking experience is required; banking certifications are ideal but not necessary.
Required Skills and Abilities
Experience in customer sales, relationship management, and cross‑selling skills.
Proactive, with the ability to develop product and compliance knowledge.
Problem‑solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
Accurate detailed work and cash‑handling skills.
Ability to articulate financial concepts to customers and answer questions.
High level knowledge of mortgage, lending products, and wealth management services offered by the bank.
Technical Skills
Ability to use a computer for data entry, word processing, and MS Office.
Basic Excel usage may be required.
Knowledge and ability to learn the bank’s data processing system.
Use of common office equipment (calculator, telephone, shredder, scanner/copier).
