Position Overview Responsible for coordinating Cost Accounting and Plant Support across multiple sites, supervising the Accounts Payable function, and administering accurate accounting and financial controls for the division.

Scope / Supervision and Interaction This role has direct reports. The Accounting Supervisor leads the Accounts Payable Team and potentially an LDA, while also serving as the Plant Accountant for our largest domestic facility.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities

Compile and analyze complex accounting data to provide management with the financial information necessary to make critical business decisions.

Prepare complex financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

Work closely with the divisional accounting team to maintain corporate and divisional policies, drive continuous improvement of financial reporting, and support business growth.

Reconcile accounts, post journal entries, and maintain accurate general ledger entries in accordance with accounting principles.

Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

Participate in continuous improvement activities and provide suggestions for cost reduction and improved efficiency.

Participate in internal and external audits.

Maintain financial security by following accounting policies and internal controls.

Lead and execute AP improvement projects.

Maintain and improve the newly developed PowerBI suite of tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

2‑5+ years of accounting experience, including inventory/plant accounting.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and mainframe applications.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent problem‑solving skills.

Self‑motivated, curious, and high‑energy.

Ability to work independently and effectively within a team.
