Crisis Intervention Clinician

Responsibilities
Receives referrals and interviews the person, the person's family and service providers (as appropriate).
Provides behavior management counseling to persons and their families at home, at schools and at other sites as needed.
Develops behavior management plans when indicated, teaches their use and monitors their ongoing implementation and effectiveness.
Arranges for or provides clinical assessments to determine the person's functional abilities and service needs.
Makes referrals when indicated.
Opens and maintains logs for all individuals and families served including documentation of each contact, relevant DDP forms and evidence of appropriate follow‑up (post‑crisis stabilization) once the family is no longer actively receiving services. Assures that these procedures are followed by other program staff.
Responds to program answering services as well as direct calls on a rotating basis.
Assists in the preparation of monthly report of activities, forwarding to supervisor within five working days of the end of the month.
Performs all duties necessary for compliance with relevant regulations governing service provision, including record‑keeping.
Deals with people in a legal and ethical manner.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Follows level of service requirements of relevant contracts.
Qualifications
Master's degree (M.A.) or equivalent in a treatment field of human services, required.
Bilingual (Spanish) highly desirable.
