Responsibilities
Analyzes new technologies, market assessment components, and less complex products using existing basic analytical tools and methods to improve existing designs and expand existing product lines.
Assists in Material Cost Out and Simplification programs.
Assists in the design of test machines and procedures for non‑standard testing.
Solves routine problems with an aptitude for basic problem‑solving skills.
Designs and develops new products to meet customer needs.
Leads portions of routine analysis projects.
Specifies basic design parameters, validates according to existing standards, and prepares required documentation.
Supports Application Engineering, New Product Development (NPD), and Product Engineering projects.
Supports product analysis during and after NPD testing or benchmark testing.
Supports statistical and physical analyses on tested IPS products as required.
Completes other projects as identified in the Co‑op Project Plan.
Adheres to all export, import, and supply chain security policy requirements relevant to the position.
Follows Regal Ethics and Safety Programs.
Follows State and Federal Environmental Compliance Programs.
Required Education / Experience / Skills
Ability to adjust to varying priorities and project lists.
CAD skills preferred (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Pro‑E, Solid Edge).
Competent in Microsoft computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Mechanical aptitude.
Strong mathematical aptitude.
Verbal and written communication, and presentation skills with all levels of employees, management, and vendors.
