Job Summary We are looking for a skilled, experienced Mechanic to join our team. The qualified candidate will perform service repairs on forklifts and other related material handling items and industrial equipment. Analyze and diagnose issues and perform what repairs need to be done.
Responsibilities
Must have an understanding of engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
Properly fill out service tickets and time cards daily following procedures.
Read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
Maintain a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.
Operate a service van safely, securely, and cleanly.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues.
Identify needed replacement parts.
Explain issues clearly to customers and provide valuable advice.
Repair equipment properly and timely.
Perform planned maintenance on forklifts and related equipment.
Follow company guidelines and procedures.
Keep accurate repair order records and time cards.
Ensure high customer satisfaction.
Keep van and work area clean and organized.
Provide own tools.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED is required.
Associate degree or completion of a service technician training program is preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years experience in industrial equipment repair.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Basic computer knowledge with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and tablet operation.
