Executive Search Consultant at LHH - Indy, Louisville & Cincinnati
LHH is excited to partner with our Louisville-based manufacturing client in their search for a qualified Accounting Manager to add to their team. The Accounting Manager oversees the daily operations of an accounting department, ensuring financial records are accurate, compliant with GAAP, and supports financial statement reporting. The Accounting Manager will work closely with the Controller between technical financial responsibilities along management/leadership tasks. Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, general ledger activity, and other reports for management and stakeholders.
Oversight of accounts receivable and payable processes. Performing backup for both functions.
Assist Controller in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, monitor expenses, analyze variances, and advise departments on data collection.
Process payroll and ensure payroll is accurate and runs according to plan.
Monitor cash flow, manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, and oversee payroll processes to ensure the organization has sufficient liquidity to meet its obligations.
Evaluate and improve internal accounting processes, systems, and procedures to increase accuracy and efficiency.
Oversight of accounting staff, which includes AR, AP, and office support staff, including mentoring/training.
Act as the link between the accounting department and other department heads or executives, interpreting complex financial information to support strategic decision-making across the organization.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
5+ years of increasingly responsible accounting experience
Experience in a manufacturing environment with cost accounting knowledge.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting
Proficient in ERP systems; Advanced Excel skills
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, leadership, organizational, and communication skills are crucial for success in this role
