5irons Security Operations Center (SOC) is in Franklin, Tennessee and all security operations are run from this facility. 5iron does not use a Virtual SOC in which Security Analysts work from home or another remote location which can slow response times and affect client security. RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, implement, document, and maintain Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud-based solutions for internal users and external clients
Direct hands-on responsibility that includes providing technical expertise in deploying software applications and technology solutions on Microsoft Azure
Research potential attempts to compromise the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of assets.
Setup, configure and manage virtual networking, virtual machines, web applications, hosted platforms, security protocols, and networking services
Monitor activity and performance of all Azure resources and services using Azure Monitor
Automate tasks using Azure Automation and PowerShell scripting
Continuously monitor the health of services such as Azure AD, Firewall, ATP, AIP, ASR, CAS, EM+S, Intune, AAD Connect, Exchange Online and O365
Manage networking infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN) and protocols (TCP/IP), security protocols, manage backup and restoration of files, databases, and virtual machines
Perform regular health checks of all Azure solutions
Monitor costs and optimize spending on Azure resources
Stay up to date on new features and capabilities in Azure
Be the escalation point for other analysts and engineers, and keep all tickets and projects tracked and updated
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Azure cloud environment Including Windows Virtual Server and Desktops
High standards of accountability, customer focus, and quality of deliverables are vital to the success of this position
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field, or commensurate experience and 5-8 years of job-related experience
4+ years practical experience in IT administration, including Microsoft 365 and Azure with a strong understanding of Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud services and architecture
4+ years practical experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy
Hands-on experience with Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates
Experience managing Azure Active Directory (AD), users, and groups
Experience migrating environments to the cloud
Proficient in PowerShell and/or VBScript for automating Microsoft 365 and Azure tasks
Ability to work under minimal supervision to plan, design, architect, and implement technology solutions for end user and client requirements
Extensive knowledge in database, web, and cloud technology to analyze requirements, propose options, recommend solutions, and implement the appropriate technology solution
Ability to provide Tier 2 and 3 IT Support
