A successful incumbent is expected to (i) ensure completion of all shipping documents including: bill of ladings,
packing slips, shipping labels, export documents, processing of shipments through ERP system, and other related processes, and (ii) determine the most economical modes of transportation such as LTL, volume LTL, truckload, partial truckload; maximize shipping efficiency through consolidation of shipments.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** Drive forklift and maintain necessary certification* Ensure completion of all shipping documents including: bill of ladings,
packing slips, shipping labels, Export documents, processing of shipments through ERP system, and other related processes* Determine the most economical modes of transportation such as LTL, volume LTL, truckload, partial truckload; maximize shipping efficiency through consolidation of shipments* Work with Customer Service department to resolve late orders, shortages, expedited requests, claims for freight damage, and freight estimates; resolve shipping delays due to customer requests* Ensure accuracy and completeness of all shipments by working with manufacturing when shortages or discrepancies are discovered* Maintain accurate and updated database of shipping weights* Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.* Protect Chamberlain Group’s and Systems’ reputation by keeping information confidential.* Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.* Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.**Minimum Qualifications****Education/Certifications:*** No minimum education required**Experience:*** 2+ years forklift experience**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*** Ability to use basic computer software such as spreadsheets, databases, word processing applications, email, Internet, etc.* Solid verbal and written communication* **Preferred Qualifications**
Previous experience in the transportation industryThe pay range for this position is $19.04 - $29.06/hr. Base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
