Technician Nuclear Medicine – AHMC HealthCare
Location: San Gabriel, CA | Salary: $20,000.00 – $140,000.00
Overview Under the supervision of the Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Technician Nuclear Medicine prepares, calibrates, logs, and administers radioactive isotopes to patients undergoing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures. The role operates Gamma Camera imaging equipment, computers, and other isotope‑sensitive equipment to obtain visual representations or measurements of isotope concentrations in specific body areas or organs.
Responsibilities
Prepare and calibrate radioactive isotopes.
Administer radioactive isotopes to patients.
Operate Gamma Camera imaging equipment and related computer systems.
Conduct monitoring, calibration, and wipe tests.
Assist in radioactive iodine therapy and spinal tap procedures as directed by the physician.
Ensure all equipment is in operating order and follows manufacturer’s operating instructions.
Participate in patient care for a diverse population ranging from critically ill to pediatric through geriatric patients, demonstrating understanding of functional and developmental age.
Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred).
Graduate of an accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
Current NMTCB Certification.
Current BCLS‑C Card.
Prior experience in Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
