Business Development Account Manager - Sacramento, CA UPS is looking for a Business Development Account Manager to support the Sacramento area territory, including Elk Grove and Roseville.

Summary:

As a Business Development Account Manager, you will drive growth by identifying and acquiring new business opportunities, implementing effective sales strategies to reach and exceed targets, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and research potential clients, generate new leads through cold calling, networking, and other outreach methods, and collaborate with marketing teams.

Value Analysis and Presentation: Conduct compelling presentations to showcase products/services and highlight their value proposition.

Market and Product Communication: Understand clients’ needs and tailor solutions; demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge when communicating features.

Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan, analyze market trends and competitor activities, and identify new opportunities.

Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate terms and conditions to secure new business and close deals efficiently while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer support to ensure a seamless client experience.

Qualifications:

Proven track record in B2B sales focused on new business acquisition.

Strong understanding of logistics and ability to articulate the value proposition.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Self‑motivated, results‑oriented mindset.

Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Willingness to travel.

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field (preferred).

Must be currently located in the same geographic area as the position or willing to self‑relocate; relocation assistance not available.

Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
