How You Will Do It Strategic Leadership & Culture Transformation
Partner with the CPCO and VP of People to help execute the multi-year cultural transformation strategy aligned to E&I’s five core values and DDO design principles.
Shape and operationalize E&I’s DDO roadmap, moving the organization from Level 2 → Level 3 maturity within 18–24 months, and create momentum towards Level 4.
Serve as the executive steward of cultural development initiatives, including fostering a feedback culture, supporting polarity integration, psychological safety, and leadership capacity‑building.
Measurement & Analytics (First-, Second-, and Third-Person Metrics)
Design, implement, and manage an integrated Culture Dashboard to track organizational growth and cultural health.
Establish, identify, and use developmental metrics that capture:
First‑person data: individual learning, growth, and mindset shifts
Second‑person data: quality of relationships, feedback exchanges, and team safety
Third‑person data: organizational‑level trends, engagement, and member impact
Leverage horizontal and vertical psychometrics, strengths‑based assessments, and developmental mapping tools (e.g., STAGES, Lectica, Leadership Circle 360, GLP/MWV, StrengthsFinder) to inform growth strategies.
Coaching & Leadership Development
Provide executive and developmental coaching to managers and high‑potential employees, grounded in adult development and DDO principles.
Mentor internal leaders to strengthen their ability to navigate polarity tensions, manage complexity, and foster self‑authoring mindsets across the organization.
Facilitate group learning experiences, including Immunity to Change, No Fault Formula, and other DDO‑aligned practices.
Organizational & Cultural Development
Scale E&I’s Boat Crew programs a driver of cross‑functional collaboration, developmental support, and cultural coherence.
Partner with Learning & Development to build curricula and leadership pathways that explicitly integrate E&I’s core values into every developmental program.
Serve as an internal thought leader on integrative frameworks, polarity management, and adult vertical development, ensuring these are embedded into strategy, structure, and operations.
Qualifications
10+ years in organizational development, cultural transformation, or leadership development roles, ideally in growth-oriented or membership-driven organizations.
Demonstrated success designing and leading enterprise-wide cultural transformation initiatives.
Expertise in adult development theory (e.g., Kegan, Loevinger, Torbert, Cook‑Greuter) and experience operationalizing these concepts in organizational contexts.
Deep familiarity with Deliberately Developmental Organization (DDO) and/or Teal Organization principles and practices.
Proven ability to design and manage multi-level developmental metrics (first-, second-, and third‑person methods and data).
Experience with teaching and securing psychological safety at various levels of an organization.
Hands‑on experience within integrative frameworks (e.g., Integral Theory, Action Inquiry, Polarity management) and applying them to leadership and organizational contexts.
Certification as an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) or higher; demonstrated experience coaching executives and managers.
Proficiency with horizontal and developmental psychometric tools (e.g., STAGES, Leadership Circle, MAP, MWV/GLP, StrengthsFinder, etc.).
Excellent facilitation skills with groups ranging from executive teams to frontline employees.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to inspire, influence, and engage at all levels.
Background in Strategic Systems Thinking and sees patterns across functions, levels, and time horizons; integrates insights into actionable strategies. Familiar with various maps, models and frameworks (e.g., integrative metatheories, systems thinking, complexity science).
Prior experience scaling cross‑functional developmental programs such as peer coaching, feedback labs, and developmental performance systems.
Experience embedding psychological safety, feedback cultures, and member‑centered practices within organizational design.
Travel Requirements
National travel to company‑sponsored events (5%)
