Overview
The Mixer Operator is responsible for supplying a consistently mixed dough in a timely manner utilizing standardized formulations and mixing procedures. This is a second and third shift position.
Job Responsibilities
Adhere to all safety standards and wear all required safety equipment;
Follows recipe sequence to successfully complete the batch within quality tolerance;
Communicates with team leader regarding any processing deviations;
Ensures that dough ingredients are accurately scaled, efficiently loaded and properly mixed per standard formulation and procedure;
Ensures that the processing equipment is supplied with sufficient mixed material to maintain continuous, uninterrupted operation;
Accurately completes paperwork;
Observe Good Manufacturing Practices and applicable company policies;
Keep work area neat, clean, and organized;
Perform other required tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements
High School Diploma or GED;
Minimum Three (3) months experience in a food manufacturing environment is a plus;
Must possess good communication skills, both verbal and written;
Must be able to listen to and follow basic instructions and work routines;
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions;
Ability to understand and follow safety rules and instructions;
Able to work around flour and other bakery ingredients as part of the daily activities;
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive motion;
Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds frequently throughout a day;
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, reach and bend for extended periods of time;
Exhibit a positive attitude within a team environment;
Detail oriented and self-motivated;
Regular and predictable attendance.
