Welder - FCAW Experience - $5,000 Sign-On Bonus

**Job duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:*** Follow documented procedures, standard work, routings, and blueprints to perform safe and defect free operations.* Hand weld all plain and alloy structural steel in all positions.* Use of jib or gantry crane to manually position weld equipment.* Grind and dress fabricated weldments.* May operate forklift, scissor lift and area lift to access weldments.**Required Qualifications:*** 3-5 years of FCAW and experience with 10+ multi-pass welds on heavy 2” plate.* Experience with back gouging, carbon arcing or air arcing.* Must pass 3 weld qualification tests using FCAW large diameter wire (3/32 and .052).**Top Candidates Will Also Have:*** Safety first mindset.* Understanding of quality requirements and ability to execute.* Ability to read blueprints.* Ability to work well individually and in a team environment.* Ability to work overtime to support production demands.**Additional Information:*** This position is located at the Caterpillar manufacturing facility located in South Milwaukee, WI.* **2nd and 3rd shift available (**may be placed on any shift, dependent on business needs)* Pay is Step 1 $32.07 Step 2 $33.26 Step 3 $34.44 hr plus an additional $1.00 shift premium for 2nd or 3rd Shift* Full Time (40 hours, 5 days/week)* Advancement opportunities available* No relocation assistance is available.* **Safety is a core value at Caterpillar.
