PROGRAM DESIGN: RTS facilitates a variety of youth programs including after-school, summer camps, retreats, conferences, and summer employment opportunities reaching thousands of young people throughout NYC each year. PRIMARY FUNCTION:An Assistant Director works with theProgramDirector to ensure the program is being supervised and managed. Assistant Directors are expected toassisttheProgramDirector with administrative and operational tasks.

ORGANIZATIONAL ROLE:

Supervisor: Program Director

Compensation: $20 – $22 per hour

Location: Amber Charter School Inwood -532 W 215th St New York, NY 10034

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assume leadershiprolewhen Program Director is absent.

Assistwith managing and supervising staff.

Assistwith operational aspects ofprogram.

Assistin administrative tasks such as payroll, attendance, and supply orders.

Ability to lead behavior interventions and stafftrainings.

Coordinate pre-program site preparation and post-program site closure.

Oversee DOH guidelines, Covid-19 procedures, and Fire/Emergency Preparedness Drills.

Facilitatea working relationshipwith parents to maximize progress with their children.

Work collaboratively with staff tomaintainorder and participation duringprogram.

Attend mandatory scheduled meetings and professional developmenttrainings.

Perform other related duties and responsibilities as requested by the Site Director.

QUALIFICATIONS

College credits in Education or related field.

At least one year of administrative experience.

At least one year of operational experience.

At least two years of experiencesupervising inschool age programs.

Proficientin MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Google Docs.

Strong skills in communication, punctuality, and teamwork.
