Responsibilities

Complete initial and ongoing substance abuse assessments using ASAM criteria.

Perform comprehensive bio‑psychosocial assessments, monitor client progress, and refer to appropriate providers.

Facilitate the admission process with compassion and empathy, ensuring clients feel welcomed and engaged.

Develop treatment plans per program requirements and regulatory expectations, updating goals regularly.

Establish therapeutic relationships, provide individual and group counseling focused on recovery, self‑esteem, self‑sufficiency, and grief, while maintaining professional boundaries.

General Requirements

Previous experience working with chemically dependent and at‑risk clientele, including understanding of chemical dependency treatment concepts.

CADC certification required at the time of hire.

Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training within thirty days of employment.

Ability to understand medical terminology and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.

Education

High School Diploma or GED required.

Bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences preferred.
