SUMMARY The Associate Advisor plays a key role on our centralized planning team, partnering closely with our Financial Advisors to deliver an exceptional service and advice experience to Allworth’s on-plan asset management clients. This role is designed for individuals who are committed to becoming future lead advisors and who want to build deep technical planning expertise, strengthen client-facing skills, and gain hands‑on exposure to the full Allworth operating model.
As an Associate Advisor, you will support the end-to-end planning process — from preparing and refining financial plans, to conducting research and case analysis, to participating in client meetings and follow-up. You will collaborate across departments, develop a strong understanding of our integrated service model, and play an important role in ensuring clients feel informed, cared for, and confident in their financial future.
This is an in-office position with a salary range of
$70,000–$90,000
annually, commensurate with experience. The role includes structured professional development and support in pursuing the CFP® designation as part of your long-term career path within Allworth.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Shadows Financial Advisor future and existing client appointments to gain valuable training.
Creates and helps implement financial plans for existing clients.
Performs various tasks and research relating to casework for our clients.
Assists with future and existing client communication
Shadows various departments of Allworth Financial to obtain knowledge of how our business model functions.
Attends company events, including workshops and seminars.
Takes appropriate steps to obtain the CFP® designation.
QUALIFICATIONS
BS/BA in Business Finance, Economics, or related field
Has obtained their 65, 7/66 or ChFC
In pursuit of CFP® designation
Self-starter, with the ability to work independently
Strong communication, teamwork, and relationship-building skills
Demonstrates ability to learn related financial and office programs and systems
