Job Description:

The University of Texas at San Antonio is seeking an established transportation researcher for the “Weather Ready Texas Cluster” in the School of Architecture & Planning. The candidate will focus on Weather Resilient Transportation Systems and contribute to academic research on transportation systems and cities’ readiness to extreme weather events.

Responsibilities:

Conduct transdisciplinary research on urban transportation and weather resilience.

Teach courses in the Urban and Regional Planning (URP) program.

Collaborate with research centers: Center for Urban and Regional Planning Research (CURPR) and Sustainable Pervasive Urban Resilience (SPUR) Center.

Support the MS in Urban and Regional Planning (MSURP) program and mentor students in optional specializations.

Qualifications:

Established faculty with a strong record of research in urban transportation and climate resilience.

Demonstrated curriculum of transdisciplinary research and publications.

Ability to work in the interdisciplinary School of Architecture & Planning.

Proven teaching effectiveness in a graduate‑level planning program.
