Muskegon Community College is a community college located in Muskegon, Michigan. We offer a men's volleyball program and are seeking a Men's Head Volleyball Coach.
Men's Head Coach - Volleyball

Assumes responsibility for all aspects of the program, planning short- and long-term objectives, teaching volleyball fundamentals and advanced skills to student-athletes, recruiting, supervising practice, scouting opponents, mentoring athletes, and ensuring academic success. Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement training and practice plans. Recruit student-athletes and manage team roster. Provide coaching and instruction in volleyball tactics and fundamentals. Maintain academic progress of athletes and provide support. Coordinate travel arrangements, conditioning, and team budget. Provide leadership and mentorship to assistant coaches. Represent MCC and adhere to league regulations. Required Qualifications
High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum two years of coaching experience. Proven recruiting ability. Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes. Strong academic focus and commitment to student success. Valid driver’s license and background check authorization. Capacity to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required. High integrity, ethics, and dedication to MCC mission. Essential Functions
Teach collegiate level skills and knowledge to the student-athletes. Manage and reconcile team budget. Motivate students and team, and demonstrate problem-solving skills. Ensure safety and well-being of student-athletes. Maintain compliance with NJCAA Sportsmanship Policy. Mental and Physical Demands
Mental: Detail-oriented, deadline-oriented, problem solving, confidentiality, multiple priorities. Physical: Sitting and standing, carrying up to 25 lbs, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling, and handling noise. Equal Opportunity Employer
