Role Overview Teck Alaska Incorporated, Red Dog Operations, one of the world's largest producers of zinc concentrate, is recruiting for a Temporary Travel Clerk

Rotation schedule will be 2 weeks on‑site with 2 weeks off‑site

Reporting to the Surface Supervisor

Responsibilities:

Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures

Coordinate all travel manifest preparations, distribution and record keeping

Perform weather observations and record keeping

Able to drive in mine traffic setting

Perform all requirements of a Licensed Weather Observer including transmission to pilots

Provide and record weather observations under NOAA SAWRS station guidelines. Relaying weather observations to NWS, FAA and airlines

Arrange for airline charters, purchasing tickets and hotel reservations as required

Schedule and coordinate all employee, contractor, and guest travel to and from Red Dog Mine to region villages and Anchorage for weekly rotation schedule

Provide clerical and administrative services for Mine and Service departments as required

Review all travel billings for accuracy, process invoices and record keeping

Strong communication with Drone pilots, Drill and Blast supervisors and pilots/ airlines as required

Runway condition reporting to Alaska Airlines, NAC and Lynden Air Cargo

Runway and Altimeter familiarization and Friction Testing

Have the ability to work under pressure

Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to obtain a Weather Observation Certification within 60 days of hire

Pass a TSA background check

Two (2) years prior experience with administrative support duties

Previous experience in a travel field an asset

Previous experience in GenCID is an asset

Excellent writing, editing, communication, organization and interpersonal skills are required

Proficiency and demonstrated experience with administrative software applications (Word, Excel, Teams)

Able to work independently with prioritized time management

Able to work with others and provide excellent customer service with a good attitude
