Job Summary and Qualifications As a Multimodality Radiology Technologist, you will perform all radiological procedures and routinely support other areas of the imaging department as needed.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with physicians, physicists, nursing units and other disciplines to determine each patient’s care needs.
Move X‑ray equipment into the specified position and adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance.
Perform imaging in multiple areas including diagnostic, OR, fluoroscopy, etc.
Assist the physician in diagnostic procedures.
Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff.
Be available onsite within 30 minutes of the call out when on call.
Qualifications
Education and training from an accredited radiology technology program or equivalent.
Valid Texas Department of Health licensure as a Certified Medical Radiological Technologist (CMRT) in Texas.
A.R.R.T. (R).
American Heart Association BLS certification.
One year of previous experience in a hospital environment (preferred).
Associate Degree.
