Lung Transplant Pulmonologist – Assistant/Associate Professor
The Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Virginia seeks candidates for a tenure‑ineligible clinical faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level, with a subspecialty focus on lung transplant.
Responsibilities
Participate in the lung transplant practice and devote effort to programmatic development and outreach.
Provide care of lung transplant patients, including initial evaluation, pre‑transplant care, and post‑transplant careli>
Actively participate in teaching fellows, residents, and medical students.
Qualifications
MD or equivalent.
Board certified/board eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine by appointment date.
Completed a lung transplant fellowship program or possess sufficient clinical training and experience in lung transplantation.
Experience in all aspects of medical management of lung transplant patients, including critical‑care post‑operative management, bronchoscopy with proficiency in lavage and transbronchial biopsy.
Highly collaborative team member.
