Are you passionate about teaching and making a real impact? Arc Broward is looking for an enthusiastic Hospitality Instructional Associate to assist in teaching Hospitality Curriculum students enrolled in Arc Educator’s Hospitality Program.

About the role: Hospitality Instructional Associate
Positive student instruction and interaction. Classroom instruction includes the administering of associated quizzes, homework and hotel-lab demonstrations.
Assist with teaching general hospitality skills and techniques including but not limited to tasks associated with the following areas: Front Desk Representative, Guest Services, Guestroom Attendant, Breakfast Attendant, Restaurant Server, Maintenance.
Evaluate and track student progress and accountability daily. \ Make accurate, detailed weekly reports to the Manager regarding all facets of program operation, student accountability, progress reports, etc.
Provide respectful, positive feedback to students to assist in their professional advancement and overall career readiness.
Creates teachable moments for students and participates in all Arc Educates events, Hospitality Graduations, Outreach, Media and other student-driven functions as needed. Periodically updates and maintains the physical classroom, online library, and curricula in collaboration with the curriculum specialist and departmental policy.
Develops and maintains overall program satisfaction by cultivating and maintaining relationships with students, potential employers, and agency co-workers alike.
Maintains a safe, secure, legal and healthy work environment by following and enforcing proper service standards, requirements, and procedures.
Participates timely in all required training provided and/or coordinated by Arc Educates.
Uses effective, respectful, sensitive communication skills to build rapport and channels of communication to all stakeholders. Recognizes and adapts to the range of participant learning and communication styles. Uses knowledge of and uses modes of communication that are appropriate to the communication needs of participants. Learns and uses terminology appropriately, explaining as necessary to ensure participant understanding. Implements all teaching procedures as prescribed, providing prompting and reinforcement of desirable skills and behaviors, providing the level of assistance necessary for students to participate in the curriculum.
In collaboration with the Director, Manager, Curriculum Specialist, and Hospitality Instructor, designs and implements an educational plan for students in the Skills Track of the Hospitality program, ensuring each student’s plan aligns with interests, aptitudes, and goals.
Transports students in company van to other Arc Broward office locations, field trips, and other off-site locations.

What are the requirements?
High school diploma or GED required. Associate’s degree in hospitality or related field preferred
Hospitality classroom and lab teaching experience of at least one year or more in an educational setting, college, vocational/ technical school or other not for profit agency with a preferred minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience; preferably in non-profit.
Ability to integrate current hospitality trends into all classes.
Ability to communicate respectfully, clearly and effectively with students, colleagues, and hospitality and culinary industry professionals.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate proficiency and effectiveness in verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Exceptional organizational skills, time management and ability to handle high volume multiple projects.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid FL driver’s license and successful level II background check, physical and drug screen.
Must be 21 years older or older.
