Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a passionate Clinical Director of Student Training and Clinical Supervision to lead high-quality clinical training and supervision across the agency, ensuring cultural sensitivity and adherence to trauma-informed care principles. This role oversees our accredited APA doctoral internship program, coordinates externship placements, and provides guidance to staff and students, fostering professional growth and excellence in care. The ideal candidate is deeply committed to supporting early career development, brings flexibility and self-motivation, and has proven experience in managing supervision and training programs. Expertise in psychological assessment and enthusiasm for shaping the next generation of mental health professionals are essential to success in this role.

Schedule.

This position will work Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, and is eligible for a hybrid model that allows for a mix of remote and in-office work, with an expectation of being in person at least 50% of the time and as needed due to scheduled meetings or other agency priorities. This schedule may be adjusted based on training, client, and community needs.

Essential Functions

Senior Leadership Accountabilities: Lead a team of managers or individual contributors. Ensure that managers provide focus and direction to their respective teams. Foster development of leaders and create a culture of accountability. Develop goals, strategic plans, company policies, and make decisions on the direction of the organization. Mobilize and influence external stakeholders and outside resources. Effectively communicate sr. leadership decisions and organizational strategy and plans to managers. Also, share key external updates with team. Set performance indicators.

Serve as the Training Director for the APA-Accredited Doctoral Psychology Internship Program.

Arrange appropriate training of staff to improve clinical skills; serve as the liaison between the clinical departments and the learning and development department to develop clinical training plans.

Provide clinical supervision to therapists, interns, and externs.

Provide supervision of supervision to staff supervisors.

Serve as the agency coordinator of externship and practicum placements.

Ensure that clinical and fiscal paperwork and online clinical records are correctly and promptly completed.

Understand and adhere to budget for program.

Oversee psychological testing at the agency.

Provide direct clinical care, as appropriate.

Qualifications Requirements:

Doctoral degree(PhD, PsyD) in clinical psychology or related field.

Current Colorado Licensed Psychologist.

Three years’ experience providing clinical supervision.

Two years’ experience providing direct clinical care.

Current Colorado Licensure in the behavioral health field: Licensed Psychologist (PhD, PsyD).

Excellent knowledge of theoretical issues related to clinical treatment.

Treatment philosophy consistent with the organization's goals.

Excellent management and communication skills.

Trained and experienced in screening, assessment, and treatment of mental health and substance abuse concerns.

Required Vaccination and TB Test.

At AMHR, the health and safety of our clients and staff are our top priorities. As part of this commitment,

all employees are required to receive an annual influenza (flu) shot and present a negative TB test result before their first day of work.

Proof of both the flu shot and negative TB test must be provided on your first day of employment. Medical and religious exemptions can be requested if necessary.

Salary for this role. Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full-time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Fewer than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE. Salary is also based on years of licensure and company equity.

$129,341.78 - $158,828.80

Bilingual Language Differential Pay.

*Rate depends on language requirements for the position and the candidate's fluency.

Employees will receive scheduled earnings on a bi-weekly basis, equivalent to 5% of their regular base rate (hourly or salaried), with a maximum amount of$3,000.00 per calendar year. The annual maximum amount will be prorated based on full-time equivalency (FTE).
