Overview
Integration & Test Specialist (Satellite Test) - 2nd Shift — Redmond, WA SpaceX is actively developing technologies to enable human life on Mars. This role supports Starlink satellite production with a focus on testing satellites and evaluating test failures. Responsibilities
First level triage of test failures by reading and interpreting test logs and telemetry Assess non-conforming hardware and drive resolution and preventative actions Design and implement assembly fixtures/shop aides to improve manufacturing process Identify and implement changes to design, process, safety, and floor layout to improve yield, performance, and cost Implement standard practices, troubleshooting guides, and standard repair procedures Identify, develop, and provide training to production technicians on new or updated processes Create and support equipment maintenance and calibration schedules Perform process development and validation on new designs in aggressive timelines Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency certificate 2+ years of professional experience in a hands-on manufacturing environment OR a bachelor’s degree in an engineering, math or science discipline Preferred Skills and Experience
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, math or science discipline Experience as a Lead Technician working on assembly and/or test of sub-assemblies Ability to read, understand and follow detailed schematics, drawings, and instructions Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook) Able to adapt to constant changing work assignments and fast paced work environment Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills Excellent concentration and attention to detail with outstanding work efficiency and accuracy Experience in Python, C++, or other programming languages Experience with integration and testing of propulsion, thermal, electrical, and/or structural systems Additional Requirements
Must be able to work all shift, overtime and/or weekends as needed. Estimated shift time, 2nd shift: 4 PM - 2:30 AM Standing for long periods, climbing ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted Compensation and Benefits
Pay range: Integration & Test Specialist / Level 1: $32.00 - $40.00/hour Integration & Test Specialist / Level 2: $36.00 - $45.00/hour Integration & Test Specialist / Level 3: $40.00 - $50.00/hour Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. Base salary is part of the total rewards package including stock options, bonuses, health benefits, a 401(k), disability and life insurance, paid leave, and other perks.
