Overview Outbound Scheduler

Full-Time, 40 hours per week.

Monday-Friday: Hours will vary.

Duly Health and Care is seeking an Outbound Scheduler to support patients across our medical and surgical specialty departments. In this role, you will proactively reach out to patients, coordinate specialty appointments, and ensure they receive timely access to the care they need. You’ll play a key part in improving patient experience, reducing barriers to care, and supporting clinical teams across multiple service lines.

Responsibilities

Place outbound calls to schedule appointments across a wide range of medical and surgical specialties.

Receive inbound calls and assist patients with scheduling questions or appointment needs.

Clearly explain appointment purpose, preparation, and next steps.

Identify and address barriers to care, such as transportation or scheduling conflicts.

Coordinate referrals, specialty consults, screenings, and follow-up appointments.

Provide appointment reminders and maintain accurate documentation of all interactions.

Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information.

Route clinical calls to the appropriate team (e.g., triage).

Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines.

Participate in team meetings, coaching, and department projects to improve workflows.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required

Strong communication and customer service skills

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate scheduling systems

Ability to meet productivity and quality goals

Preferred:

Experience in healthcare, call center, or patient scheduling roles; familiarity with medical terminology

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $16.30-24.50/hour, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
