Lead Therapist – Southwest Behavioral & Health Services
Southwest Behavioral & Health Services is seeking a Lead Therapist to join our Community Resilience Center. Our Lead Therapist will help adults, children and adolescents become active participants in their chosen communities, emphasizing principles and practices of recovery to bring new meaning and quality of life into their daily experience.
Schedule/Location:
Monday‑Friday, 8 AM‑5 PM. The Community Resilience Center is located off 27th Ave and Campbell.
Pay:
starting salary of $60,000 per year, plus benefits.
About The Position The Lead Therapist is responsible for providing timely, evidence‑based clinical and non‑clinical support services—including screening, assessment, treatment planning, individual, family, couples and group counseling, case management and crisis intervention—guided by the Jason K. Principles and the guidelines of the RBHA and ADHS.
Duties & Responsibilities
Individual counseling
Group counseling
Organize incoming referrals – schedule & complete intakes
Complete intakes for new CRC members & annual updates for existing CRC members
Monitor CRC Master List for clinical document compliance
Monitor CRC LAG List for members who are not programming w/regularity – outreach protocols
Review & Sign clinical documentation
Train CRC staff on proper completion of clinical documentation
Complete assessment attestations w/CRC staff so they can complete intakes/annual updates on their own
Run SMI‑FDP diversion groups
Provide clinical oversight for CRC staff and SB&H staff on a weekly basis
Minimum Requirements
Minimum age requirement: 21 years or older
Master’s degree in a behavioral health field (Counseling or Social Work)
Licensed at the Associate or Independent level by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners
Valid Arizona driver’s license and successful motor‑vehicle screening, as required for client transportation
Fingerprint clearance issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety within eight weeks of hire
