is hiring a registered nurse for our cardiac stepdown unit (5 South) at Dearborn Hospital. The unit offers 32‑bed telemetry stepdown care, emphasizing teamwork, family engagement, and patient‑centered care.
About the Unit 5 South is a cardiac stepdown/telemetry unit with 28 semi‑private rooms and 4 private rooms. Each patient wears a telemetry monitor at all times. We focus on teamwork, kindness, respect, and family involvement in care.

Scope of Work The RN applies the ANA scope of practice and the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and discharge—to provide professional, patient‑family‑centered care. The RN works under the Nurse Leader’s direction, follows Corewell Health policies, and collaborates with patients and families on care goals and education.
Qualifications
Associate’s in Nursing required.
Bachelor’s in Nursing required within five years.
Graduates from a non‑accredited nursing program must have at least one year of acute care experience or two years in a licensed health‑care role and pass the NCLEX.
Must be a Michigan Registered Nurse (RN).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA, Red Cross, or Canadian Heart and Stroke required upon hire.
AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within six months.
Specialty certification highly recommended within two years.
