Houston, TX (In office – remote when not traveling)
Travel:
>50% to vendor shops, fabrication facilities, and project sites
Pay:
$60/hr + $225/day per diem (when traveling outside Houston)
Expenses:
Flights & rental cars covered
Overview The Industrial Expeditor supports EPC industrial projects by ensuring on-time procurement, fabrication, inspection, and delivery of materials and equipment. This role works closely with engineering, procurement, vendors, inspectors, logistics, and construction teams to prevent schedule delays.
Key Responsibilities
Expedite vendor purchase orders and track fabrication progress
Conduct on-site vendor/shop visits to verify schedule, quality, and inspection readiness
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, QA/QC, logistics, and construction teams
Identify material or fabrication risks and drive mitigation plans
Review and track inspection reports, MTRs, and shipping documentation
Provide regular expediting status updates and reports
Qualifications
5–10+ years of expediting experience in industrial EPC environments
Experience with heavy industrial projects and long-lead equipment
Strong understanding of fabrication, inspections, and construction sequencing
Ability to travel extensively (>50%), including short-notice trips
Proficient with MS Office; ERP/procurement systems a plus
Able to read engineering drawings and technical specifications
Home base is Houston, but candidates do not need to be in Houston when not traveling
Must be available for video meetings with the Houston-based team
