Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A Business Partner
This position can be based in either Pittsburgh or Latrobe depending on the employee's location/preference. This is a hybrid role that will require work in office 1 to 2 days a week on average.
Kennametal’s Finance team is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as the lead financial business partner to the company’s Technology team at its Pittsburgh, PA or Latrobe, PA office. In providing financial leadership and recommending process and profit improvement actions to the function, the team member in this role will be collaborating with colleagues at various levels in the organization, including senior management and executives.
Responsibilities:
Lead finance activities for multiple functional areas, directing projects, processes, and functional and business objectives for multiple organizations and facilities
Provide strategic input to facilitate achievement of functional business results across multiple groups within the organization
Responsible for all accounting and compliance matters for the Global Technology, Finance and Sourcing functions
Lead financial analysis and decision support related to cost reduction programs and capital spend
Responsible for financial planning and analysis, forecasting, annual plan preparation, and development of shared services allocation percentages
Oversee the effective deployment of capital within the business, helping with capital project preparation and approval
Review and approve material journal entries
Ensure organization’s global compliance with internal controls (AP1A)
Ensure SOX compliance and internal control compliance
Effectively manage third party service providers
Skills/Requirements:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, with an MBA or Master’s concentrated in Finance preferred
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Experience with SAP and OneStream a plus but not required
Experience in a multinational, manufacturing company preferred
Demonstrated leadership abilities in performing projects with cross-functional teams, implementing process improvements and profit/costs improvement actions
Ability to translate data into meaningful actions and recommendations for the business
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Ambition and potential to advance through the organization
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision
