Job Summary And Qualifications

Accept responsibility for all department functions to support the mission, vision, and values of the facility.

Manage delivery of administrative support via Nursing Administrative Supervisors, Float Pool, and Hospitalist coordinator.

Function in any Nursing Office Department role when needed.

Responsible for managing Administrative Supervisors, Staffing Coordinator, and Administrative Patient Flow Supervisor.

Manage adult inpatient float pool staff and hospitalist coordinator.

Responsible for patient flow, throughput, and systems (AgileTrac, Navicare, ED Master View, etc.) and general operations of clinical care: staffing, emergency procedures, customer service, service recovery, and metrics such as MOTs and codes.

Integrate collaborative practice and working relationships with all members of the healthcare team.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.

Advanced degree preferred.

Certification in specialty preferred; enrollment within first year of hire required.

2 to 5 years of management or related role experience.

Experience includes personnel, payroll, staff scheduling, contractor recruiting, physician relations, and supervisory position management.

High proficiency with computer technology (Excel, Access) and nursing applications such as bed management and resource scheduling.

Licensure/Certification

Current RN license in the state of Texas required.

AHA or ARC ACLS, BLS required.
