Shift : SRNA training courses Monday and Wednesday 4:30-7:45 p.m., with possible additional hours.

Physical Requirements : Requires sitting for extended periods. May involve lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 25 lbs daily, standing, walking. Exposure to communicable diseases or injury from patients or instruments.

Job Summary This education pipeline program will allow participants to attend clinicals and online instruction to achieve SRNA certification. Program costs are covered by UK HealthCare, with the expectation that after certification, participants will be hired as Nursing Care Technicians or Medical Assistants and work in that capacity for a minimum of one year.

8‑10 week program. Start dates: February, April, June, August, and October 2026.

Responsibilities

Work one‑on‑one with a Registered Nurse to complete delegated tasks and provide direct patient care: obtaining vital signs, phlebotomy, documentation, assisting with ADLs, ordering and stocking supplies, responding to call lights, patient admission, transfer, discharge, moving patients, handling specimens, and preparation for surgical procedures.

Provide direct patient care and clinical support as a Medical Assistant: obtaining medical history, expediting patient flow, rooming patients, stocking clinic supplies, navigating electronic health record system, scheduling appointments, assisting with medication fill requests, prior authorizations, test scheduling, consults.

Communicate with pharmacies, insurance companies, patients, and physicians respectfully; follow UK HealthCare values.

Provide prompt, compassionate, patient‑centered care in a collaborative team environment; utilize nursing process and comprehensive care plans.

Qualification & Experience High school diploma or equivalent. No prior experience required.
