Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. invites passionate professionals to join our 14‑month Inspire Trainee Program. As a future Specialist in Program Planning & Production Control, you will drive data‑driven, AI‑enabled processes that enhance efficiency and quality across our luxury SUV production.
Purpose of the Position As part of a highly motivated team, you will shape digital interfaces between Operations, Supply Chain Management, and Marketing & Sales. Your contributions will support plant steering, KPI transparency, and predictive decision‑support tools that enable forward‑looking control of our premium SUVs.
Essential Functions Program Planning & Production Control Support the Production Control & Steering (PCS) team in developing, maintaining, and analyzing operational production plans aligned with plant programs. Lead monitoring of production performance, identify deviations, and support root‑cause analyses and improvement initiatives in close collaboration with operations, engineering, maintenance, IT, and planning teams.
Digitalization, Data Analytics & AI Initiatives Actively drive digitalization, data analytics, and AI‑driven initiatives within production control and plant steering. Foster development of BI dashboards, automation solutions, and data‑driven decision‑support tools based on operational, efficiency, and quality KPIs.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Project Support Work closely with cross‑functional and international stakeholders from Operations, Supply Chain Management, IT, and Marketing & Sales. Support international project teams in coordinating activities, preparing analyses, and documenting processes and results.
Qualifications
Education : Master’s or Doctorate degree in Data Science, Engineering, Economics, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience : Up to three (3) years of relevant professional experience in Logistics / Supply Chain Management, data analytics, data science, production / assembly planning, or project management, preferably with OEM, tier‑1 supplier, consulting or multinational digitalization focus.
Skills :
Excellent verbal and written communication in English (C1); German (A2) is an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Power BI, Azure, Python (advantage).
Strong analytical aptitude with a passion for digital technologies, AI, and automation.
Team collaboration, interpersonal, and mentoring abilities.
Eagerness to shape transformative projects at Mercedes‑Benz.
Preferred : Minimum three months of international experience (study, internship, work, or travel).
