Montage International is looking for a passionate Reservations Agent to serve as the voice of our hotel and provide exceptional service to guests who call or visit to inquire about bookings.

Location & Compensation Location: Salt Lake City, UT Salary: $17.66–$23.23 per hour

Essential Functions

Provide excellent customer service and take reservations using proper hotel verbiage while adhering to hotel standards.

Accurately input and organize reservation information via rooming lists, internet, travel agency requests, sales department, and reception with appropriate follow‑up.

Accommodate in‑house guest requests and maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.

Maintain accurate logs of special requests and ensure they are blocked in the PMS or front office system.

Answer and direct inbound calls to the hotel, frequently using email and fax systems, and coordinate and respond to mailed correspondence.

Understand the hotel’s selling strategy by knowing the status of room inventory and following it.

Process rooming lists accurately, including all changes and cancellations for group reservations.

Prepare group guest lists prior to arrival.

Control and block rooms as well as pre‑blocks for special groups.

Ensure all reservations transferred to the PMS or front office system are accurate.

Aggressively sell hotel rooms to maximize transient room revenue using upselling and yield‑management techniques in accordance with company policy.

Memorize hotel facilities and provide clear directions to guests who inquire about the hotel.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a customer‑service role required.

Previous experience working in an upscale hotel preferred.

Excellent telephone etiquette and strong verbal and written communication skills required.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook required.

Physical Requirements Most work tasks are performed indoors in a moderate, controlled environment. Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 6 hours a day. Walking and standing are occasionally required. Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. on a regular basis. The position requires manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, hearing ability, and visual acuity.
