Chrysalis Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our multidisciplinary behavioral health team serving children and youth with complex mental health needs. This role is ideal for nurses who are passionate about trauma-informed, community-based psychiatric care and enjoy collaborating closely with psychiatrists, clinicians, families, and community partners to improve outcomes.
Position Summary As an LPN or RN, you will work in close partnership with the psychiatrist and team leader to support psychiatric and medical treatment for youth. Under psychiatric supervision, you will conduct assessments, monitor treatment response and medication side effects, provide education to clients and families, and support the clinical team in delivering high-quality, person-centered care. This role blends clinical nursing, care coordination, education, and crisis support in home and office settings.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct psychiatric and medical assessments within nursing scope of practice
Monitor therapeutic response and side effects of psychotropic medications
Educate clients, families, and team members on mental illness, medications, and physical health
Collaborate with psychiatrists on treatment planning and medication management
Coordinate lab work, review results, and document outcomes
Support individual, group, and family education and illness management
Participate in crisis assessment and on-call support as assigned
Assist with inpatient admissions, discharge planning, and continuity of care
Coordinate care with primary care providers and community medical partners
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the clinical EMR
Participate in team meetings, treatment planning, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives
Support staff training related to psychiatric symptoms and medication monitoring
Qualifications/Requirements Required:
Active Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN)
Experience or strong interest in behavioral health, psychiatry, or community-based care
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
Valid Florida driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Proof of auto insurance meeting minimum liability requirements
Ability to pass required criminal background checks
Comfort using EMR and HRIS systems for documentation and reporting
Preferred:
Experience working with children, adolescents, or families
Familiarity with trauma-informed care and co-occurring disorders
Community mental health or CAT team experience
