Accounting Clerk Position

We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Clerk to join our client's team in St. Louis, Missouri. This role involves managing comprehensive bookkeeping tasks, ensuring financial accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct bank reconciliations to verify and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions promptly and accurately.
• Follow up with overdue accounts.
• Assist in budgeting and financial planning activities to support organizational goals.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and relevant regulations.
• Utilize accounting software, such as QuickBooks, to record and manage financial transactions.
• Support year-end tax preparation and ensure payroll processing is completed efficiently.
• Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions to facilitate audits and reporting requirements.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and/or Great Plains.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial regulations.
• Payroll processing experience is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
• Prior experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role is essential.
