Human Resources Manager

Job Responsibilities

Essential functions of the position include:

  • Providing guidance, counsel, and problem-solving support to managers, supervisors, teams, and individuals.
  • Managing personnel placement by supporting activities in employee recruitment, hiring, and staffing of plant and office positions including placement of physically restricted employees.
  • Coordinating in the recruiting activities of direct hire team members to support plant and program requirements. This may include advertising, scheduling, interviewing, and assisting if needed with post-offer screening and scheduling orientation. Ensures the process is followed in a timely and effective manner.
  • Conducting interviews covering several areas in a professional manner.
  • Preparing and coordinating activities involving Career/Job Fairs when needed.
  • Coordinating and communicating with the Hiring Manager to ensure timely information is provided to them.
  • Composng new job descriptions, coordinating performance appraisals, and approving salary changes for employees.
  • Utilizing social media sites such as Indeed, LinkedIn, etc. to recruit candidates.
  • Coordinating with Corporate Resources as needed for hiring events.
  • Participating and assisting with Company sponsored social events.
  • Maintaining open channels of communication with all levels of the organization.
  • Managing, supporting, and providing direction to all staff within the Human Resources department to ensure customer service to all employees and the administration of all Human Resources programs.
  • Coaching and guiding management regarding performance, discipline, diversity, policies & procedures, and teamwork.
  • Ensuring employee confidentiality and data integrity is strictly maintained.
  • Responding to employee issues, concerns, suggestions, and complaints within a timely manner.
  • Providing feedback to managers, supervisors, and employees both positive and negative on an ongoing basis.
  • Providing guidance and support for employee recognition and employee engagement events.
  • Maintaining current on employment law updates and communicating changes to those effected by the changes.
  • In conjunction with the Human Resources Manager, assisting in the planning of key programs and activities.
  • Preparing and providing key performance indicators as needed for areas of responsibility and as requested by management.
  • Performing other duties as required.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree, major in Business Administration or Human Resource Management or other related field.
  • SHRM or PHR certification a plus.

Experience

  • 3+ years Human Resources experience.
  • Must have experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Automotive experience a plus.
  • Previous Recruiting experience is a plus.
