Shift: AM shift and weekends when applicable
Reports To: Dock Supervisor


Job Summary

We are seeking a hard-working, reliable Dock Worker to join our logistics team. The Dock Worker will assist in the loading, unloading, and movement of cargo at our dock/shipping facility. This role is physically demanding and essential to the timely processing of inbound and outbound freight.


Key Responsibilities

  • Load and unload cargo from trucks, trailers, or containers using appropriate tools and material-handling equipment.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other tools to move goods safely.
  • Inspect freight for damage or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of loaded/unloaded items and assist with inventory tracking.
  • Ensure dock and warehouse areas are clean, safe, and free of debris.
  • Communicate with team members to coordinate efficient handling of cargo and meet operational timelines.
  • Follow all safety protocols and participate in required training.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred (not always required).
  • Previous dock, warehouse, or material-handling experience is a plus.
  • Valid forklift or material-handling certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items (typically up to 5070 lbs.+).
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety.


Working Conditions

  • Work takes place in a busy warehouse.
  • May involve outdoor elements, loud noise, heavy machinery, and various weather conditions.
  • Typical shift includes early mornings and weekends when needed.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay Rate/Salary: ($16$19/hr. depending on experience)
