Essential Duties and Responsibilities -
Include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Studies blueprints or drawings of articles to be constructed or repaired, and plans sequence of fabrication and assembly operations to be performed. Perform basic welding skills; adjust welders to material being welded, select clamps, use jigs, fixtures, flame cut, plasma cut, drill material and other necessary equipment as required by the project Grinds and Polishes steel.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities -
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be able to read and interpret blue prints/drawings. Must be able to Mig and Tig weld. Must be able to grind and polish steel. Must be able to read a tape measure. Must have knowledge of and experience using basic hand tool and machinery usage (hammers, electric drills, drill presses, grinders, etc.) Must be able to obtain fork truck certification. Language Skills: Fluent in English language; including ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must be able to work some OT and Saturdays. Mathematical Skills: Basic math, addition and subtraction of fractions. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
