Specific Skills required for this position: Selenium (UI automation) JMeter (performance/load testing) API Testing SQL (Oracle and MSSQL) Manual Testing Job Summary: The ideal candidate will focus primarily on creating, executing, monitoring, and refining automated test cases while applying sound judgment on when manual testing is more appropriate. This role requires a deep understanding of how testing strategies contribute to delivering a functional, stable, and reliable product that aligns with business value. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and related frameworks. Conduct API testing and performance testing using JMeter. Perform manual testing when automation is not suitable, ensuring comprehensive coverage. Write and execute complex SQL queries (Oracle and MSSQL) for data validation and backend testing. Collaborate with developers and product teams to identify, document, and resolve defects. Provide clear communication on blockers, level of effort, and testing progress. Conduct regression testing to confirm defect remediation. Generate and present test coverage reports as needed. Participate in Agile/SAFe ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes. Demonstrate knowledge of SDLC, Java programming, and modern web browsers during hands-on evaluations. Required Qualifications Currently employed in a Quality Assurance role. 5 7 years of prior, continual experience in Quality Assurance roles. Strong, approaching expert-level, proficiency in: Selenium (UI automation) JMeter (performance/load testing) API Testing SQL (Oracle and MSSQL) Manual Testing Ability to determine when automation vs. manual testing is appropriate. Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile/SAFe methodologies, and testing best practices. Familiarity with Java for automation scripting. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills Experience with: AppDynamics (application performance monitoring) Maven, Apache Linux administration (RHEL) Docker container development and testing (containerization) Awareness of infrastructure dependencies and ability to design tests that reflect real-world usage scenarios. Ideal Candidate Profile Enjoys identifying problems and stress-testing systems under realistic conditions. Understands application dependencies on infrastructure and incorporates this into test design. Creates tests that are easily deployable, maintainable, and executable by team members. Comfortable working as an individual contributor with 80% of their time spent on test case development, execution, and defect documentation.
