Cancer Center looking for Hematology & Oncology is in search of a Full Time or Part Time Locum Tenens due to a Provider Retiring in April 2026.


We are seeking 2 full time locums to support the outpatient cancer center and hospital Call. Locums will work in outpatient Monday- Friday and have every other week Call. When working the Call weeks, locums will be required to round at the hospital either prior to their clinic shift or after the clinic shift.


Shifts available: Day shift, night call, weekend call (total shifts needed 20 per locum)

Privileges available: Full Privileges


Required Skills, Experience, Licensure

MD/DO: will accept either

BC: requires BOTH medical ONC and Hem unless they have completed combined Hem/Onc fellowship. If so, they are only required to be boarded in one or the other.

KY or Compact license in hand preferred due to the start date and privileging timeline

Required Certifications: BLS or ACLS, DEA Certificate

Must have Epic Experience


Unit Details:

Patients Volume: 15-18 per day for full time employed physicians

Time template: 45 new/ follow up: 15 minutes

Chemo Support: Yes (infusion center on site)

Will Locums be sole provider: no

Is there other support start for Locums: (if so what) NP daily

What percentage of Hem vs Onc? Locums will see primary oncology patients


Shifts/ Days/Hours weekly: M-F day shift with rotating night call Monday- Thursday

Night call is offsite.

when on call would be required to round in the hospital each AM or PM

Clinic and hospital are in one building

Call: Phone triage- appts can be seen the following day (does not return onsite after hours) less than 5 calls per night

Will Locums do admits/consults: yes- during rounding when on call week.


Case log Expectations:

Demonstrated current competence and evidence of inpatient or consultative services for twenty-four (24) hematology/oncology patients, reflective of the scope of privileges requested, during the past 12 months or successful completion of an ACGME or AOA residency or clinical fellowship within the past 12 months
