Join Our Team as a Locum Nurse Practitioner - Cardiology in Silverdale, WA
Are you a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with a passion for cardiology care? Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking an experienced and motivated Locum Nurse Practitioner to provide outpatient cardiology coverage in Silverdale, WA. This essential role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality, clinic-based cardiovascular care in a collaborative environment, helping improve patient outcomes and support a busy outpatient team.
In this full-time, day-shift position, you will manage follow-up, annual, and acute outpatient cardiology visits, as well as handle inbox coverage for absent providers. This role is ideal for providers who enjoy autonomous work, are comfortable seeing approximately 16 patients daily, and possess a strong clinical assessment background. No inpatient, hospital rounding, or procedural responsibilities are involved.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of outpatient cardiology experience
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system
- Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently within a team-based clinic setting
- Comfort interpreting cardiology imaging and diagnostic tests
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience managing complex cardiology patients
- Prior experience with care management or follow-up clinics
- Additional certifications in cardiology or advanced practice healthcare
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license
- At least 2 years of relevant outpatient cardiology experience
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR system
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to work full-time days (8 AM 5 PM, Monday through Friday)
- Ability to start as soon as credentialed (up to 90 days)
- Travel considerations: open to some out-of-state candidates with a commitment to stay in the area during the assignment
- Certification in cardiology-related procedures or competencies is a plus
This rewarding opportunity offers an hourly pay rate between $175 and $200, with additional compensation for orientation and holiday work. Orientation is paid at half the hourly rate, and holiday hours are compensated at time-and-a-half.
