Join Our Team as a Nurse Practitioner - Cardiology & Pediatrics: Make a Difference in Critical Care Settings
Are you a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with specialized experience in pediatric cardiology and critical care? We are seeking highly skilled professionals to provide exceptional care in pediatric cardiac intensive care units (CVICU). In this role, you will work directly with Pediatric and Pediatric Cardiac Intensivists, managing critical cases, participating in multidisciplinary rounds, and overseeing new admissions. Your expertise will ensure that patients receive the highest standard of care in a fast-paced, rewarding setting. The position offers both day and night shifts, with opportunities for extended assignments, providing flexibility and stability in your work schedule.
Required Skills:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure with Pediatric Advanced Certification (PNP-AC)
- Proven experience in pediatric cardiac critical care or CVICU settings
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work under pressure in high-stakes environments
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience covering pediatric cardiac floor patients
- Bilingual capabilities
- Advanced skills in complex patient management and family communication
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master s Degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited program
- Minimum of 2 years of pediatric critical care experience, specifically in cardiac ICU settings
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
Other Requirements:
- Valid state licensure and certifications applicable to pediatric critical care
- Willingness to work both day and night shifts, including weekends
- Reliability for consecutive shifts as scheduled (up to 7 days for day shifts, up to 4 for nights)
- Ability to travel for licensure or certification renewals if necessary
