Join Our Team as a Locum Physician - Emergency Medicine in Williston, ND
Are you an experienced Emergency Medicine physician seeking a rewarding opportunity in a rural healthcare setting? We are seeking dedicated locum physicians to provide vital 24-hour emergency department coverage at a well-established hospital in Williston, North Dakota. This ongoing role ensures continuous patient care in a bustling environment handling a wide array of cases, including trauma and stroke. In this role, you will provide essential emergency care to 50-60 patients daily, working within a collaborative team of providers and support staff. The facility utilizes Meditech EMR and sees a variety of cases requiring proficiency in core ER procedures. The position offers varied 12-hour shifts, including day and night times, to accommodate different schedules and optimize patient coverage.
Required Skills:

• Board certification in Emergency Medicine (EM)
• Current and valid medical license to practice in North Dakota
• Proficiency in ER procedures
• Ability to handle diverse ED cases efficiently and accurately
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience working in rural or Critical Access Hospitals (CAH)
• Prior experience with Meditech EMR system
• Ability to adapt quickly to varied shift schedules

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Medicine experience
• Prior locum or hospital-based ED experience is advantageous

Other Requirements:

• Must complete credentialing within 30 days
• Should be able to cover varied shifts, including days and overnights
• No travel required beyond initial credentialing process
• Malpractice insurance required and included in the hourly rate
• Orientation provided at half the hourly rate after 8 hours, with additional training billed at $360 per 12-hour shift
• Compensation includes time for orientation and training; holiday pay at 1.5x regular rates
