Hematology/Oncology Physician

Locums - Hematology/Oncology - Richmond, Virginia Urgent Need Coverage: 1/19-1/22 AND 1/28-1/30 Also need 2 physicians - 1 for Feb 2026 and August 2026 and another for March 2026 - August 2026 Schedule & Shift Details:

• Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
• Coverage primarily inpatient, some outpatient during physician vacation
• Oversight of a nurse practitioner
• Willingness to enroll patients in research studies
• Call Coverage

Position Overview:This locums Hematology/Oncology assignment provides both inpatient and limited outpatient coverage for adult patients. The provider will manage diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care for oncology and hematology patients, support the nurse practitioner, and participate in research study enrollment as needed. Daily Breakdown / Responsibilities:

• Average hospital patients per day: 12-15
• Adult patient population
• Inpatient oncology and hematology care
• Outpatient coverage as needed for physician vacation
• Collaboration with practice staff and oversight of NP

• Practice Setting: Inpatient with some outpatient coverage
• Number of Physicians: 2
• EMR: EPIC
• Patient Population: Adult

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
• Active Virginia license required
• BLS certification required
• Provider must be local
