Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine - Cardiology
Job Details:
• Provide both inpatient and outpatient cardiology services with varying patient encounters per shift • Work in a Level 3 trauma facility with supportive staff • Perform non-invasive cardiac procedures including echocardiography, TEE, and nuclear cardiology • Handle STEMI cases as part of comprehensive cardiac care • Conduct invasive diagnostic procedures including PA catheter placement, IABP placement, cardiac catheterization, and heart biopsy • Perform interventional procedures such as angioplasty, intracoronary stent placement, and atherectomy • Provide electrophysiology services including cardiac ablation, permanent pacemaker placement, and implantable cardioverter defibrillator placement • ICU experience preferred for managing critical cardiac patients • Must have an active Kentucky medical license • Board certification eligible required with fellowship training • Estimated credentialing timeframe is approximately 3 weeks • Position begins February 2, 2026 with ongoing assignment potential
