Location & Schedule :
This position requires field work throughout Denver as needed.
Who We Are & What You’ll Do The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) enhances the quality of life in Denver by delivering effective, high‑quality, safe, and equitable public infrastructure and services.
Street Maintenance is responsible for filling potholes, repaving streets, sweeping streets, and removing snow from public streets and alleys. The Division also manages the City’s asphalt plant, which produces asphalt for resurfacing and maintaining city streets and alleys.
Responsibilities
Operate light to medium‑sized equipment for maintenance and minor construction projects.
Be part of a street sweeping, paving, milling, or asphalt team.
Act as an entry‑level crew leader for Utility Worker 1 & 2 teammates.
Perform semi‑skilled and light to heavy physical labor on various construction, maintenance, and repair projects.
Place and remove barricades, cones, and other traffic control devices in accordance with traffic regulations.
Perform other related duties as assigned, including snow removal.
Qualifications
High‑school diploma or equivalent GED, HiSET, or TASC certificate.
Two years of general labor experience, including at least six months operating light to medium‑sized equipment.
Knowledge of city streets/alleys and ability to read maps.
Experience in various weather conditions and environments.
Desire to promote to other positions within the department.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL “B”) with appropriate endorsements.
