Data Entry Specialist
The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining data in company systems and databases. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to handle confidential information while meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Enter, update, and verify data in electronic databases and systems
Review data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
Correct errors and follow up on missing or unclear information
Maintain organized digital and/or physical records
Generate basic reports and summaries as required
Adhere to data security, confidentiality, and company policies
Support administrative and clerical tasks as needed
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED (required)
Proven experience in data entry or administrative roles (1–2 years preferred)
Strong typing skills with high accuracy
Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and data management systems
Good attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree or additional education
Experience with databases, CRM, or case management systems
Prior experience in regulated or high-volume environments
Fast and accurate data entry
Time management and multitasking
Written and verbal communication skills
Confidentiality and data integrity awareness
Office or remote work setting
May involve repetitive tasks and prolonged computer use
