Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
Job Summary BFG Manufacturing Services is seeking a Machine Repair/Maintenance Technician to join our team. This individual will be responsible for performing both repair and preventative maintenance on all machinery and supporting equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with our production team.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair machinery and supporting equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all machinery and equipment to minimize breakdowns and maximize operational efficiency.
Conduct safety inspections of all equipment to ensure compliance with safety protocols and identify potential hazards.
Accurately log all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and time spent, for accurate record‐keeping and future reference.
Work closely with production workers and other team members to identify and resolve maintenance issues and ensure minimal disruption to operations.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to assist in the overall success of operations.
Job Requirements
Physical Ability: Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of electrical systems, electric motors, plumbing, pumps, and related machinery components.
Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical skills with manual dexterity to handle small parts and equipment.
Problem‑Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve mechanical issues quickly and efficiently.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills to log work and maintain accurate maintenance records.
Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with production teams and other departments.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certifications in mechanical or electrical systems is a plus.
Previous experience in machine repair or maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, mechanical systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and work in a fast‑paced environment.
