Maintenance Technician – Novares Group
Novares US LLC - Felton Plants is looking for a Manufacturing department Maintenance Technician (M/F) located in Felton, PA. This position will start on the 3rd shift, with training on the 1st shift for approximately 6 months. After training, the candidate will transfer to the 3rd shift.
Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment. Responsibilities include installation of power supply wiring, diagnosing and replacing faulty components, programming automation, and ensuring equipment safety.
Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.
Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures; replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
Tests malfunctioning machinery; discusses malfunctions with other maintenance workers to diagnose issues.
Replaces faulty electrical components of machines (relays, switches, motors) and positions sensing devices.
Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electrical components such as printed circuit boards.
Replaces electrical motor bearings and rewires motors.
Operates robot controller, teach pendant, and programmable controller to program automated machinery, test for malfunctions, and verify repairs.
Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring conduit and electrical apparatus in buildings.
Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
Additional duties as assigned.
Must be able to meet/set deadlines.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Effective time management and planning skills.
Associate degree from an accredited college, university, or technical school or one to two years related experience/training; or equivalent combination.
Equipment used: hand tools, lift truck, hoist & crane / chains & slings, aerial platform lift, test equipment, personal computer.
